The Georgia Department of Health's mission is to promote health and well being, prepare for and respond to disasters, and to prevent disease, injury and disability. There are three District Offices of the Georgia Department of Health in Southwest Georgia. These offices provide leadership, guidance and support regarding local public health issues and services, as well as maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the Georgia Department of Health in Southwest Georgia locales.
